How to send a transfer if you don’t see your country’s currency in the SendNOW money transfer app

In this article, we’re answering a question that is often asked to SendNOW support:

“I don’t see my country’s currency in the app. Does that mean transfers from this country are not available?”

For example, the SendNOW app doesn’t list the Turkish lira as a payment currency.
Does this mean you can’t send money from Turkey?

The answer is no. This does not mean transfers from the country are unavailable.
It means that transfers from this country need to be paid for in a different currency that is available in the app.

In the app, you see the currencies in which you can pay for a transfer, not a list of countries from which transfers are allowed. What matters is not the “country’s currency,” but the currency of your card or bank account that you use to pay for the transfer.

Let’s return to the example of Turkey and the Turkish lira:

  • You want to send a transfer via SendNOW while being in Turkey but the Turkish lira is not available in the app.
  • If you have a card or bank account—at a Turkish or another bank—in EUR or USD, you can pay for the transfer by selecting EUR or USD as the payment currency.
